Black Temple Attunement

Posted by Kaets - February 21st, 2008

Having changed hands many times over the generations, the Black Temple is now the fortress-citadel of Illidan Stormrage, Lord of Outland. As of Patch 2.4, the attunement requirement will be removed but the quest remains in order to get the [Medallion of Karabor] as well as the title “Hand of A’dal”.

In this guide you will find all steps required to complete attunement to the Black Temple.

Black Temple Attunement Overview

First, complete the following quest-chain in Shadowmoon Valley:

  1. Tablets of Baa’ri
  2. Oronu the Elder
  3. The Ashtongue Corruptors
  4. The Warden’s Cage
  5. Proof of Allegiance
  6. Akama
  7. Seer Udalo
  8. A Mysterious Portent
  9. The Ata’mal Terrace
  10. Akama’s Promise

Then, complete the following steps:

  1. Goto Serpentshrine Cavern
  2. Find a Broken NPC named Seer Olum (Karathress’s room)
  3. Accept the quest The Secret Compromised
  4. Travel to the Warden’s Cage in Shadowmoon Valley and speak to Akama
  5. Goto Tempest Keep: The Eye
  6. Defeat Al’ar
  7. Goto The Battle of Mount Hyal
  8. Defeat Rage Winterchill
  9. Goto Shattrath, Speak with Ad’al
