Materials

In order to train Alchemy, a fair bit of materials are required. Please find below a list of the approximate amount of each material required to train your Alchemy skill. If you are trying to get this over with in one go without any resource runs, it can be worth acquiring a bit more of each material before you start.

Acquiring the Materials:
You can either buy the Herbs from the Auction House, or use Herbalism to gather the Herbs yourself. The vials can be bought from a Vendor.

Lesser Healing Potion (1 x Minor Healing Potion, 1 x Briarthorn) x 50

N.B.You can make Major Mana Potions up to this point if you prefer. You’ll need to make about 25 though.

Super Healing Potion (2 x Dreaming Glory, 1 x Felweed, 1 x Imbued Vial) x 20

Alchemy Skill 351 - 375
Major Dreamless Sleep Potion* (1 x Dreaming Glory, 1 x Nightmare Vine, 1 x Imbued Vial) x 40

*Goes green at 370, but now this is in the game it’s easier to skill up on than to use low drop rate recipes or faction rewards.
Can be bought from Leeli Longhaggle in Allerian Stronghold (Terokkar Forest) for Alliance and from Daga Ramba in Thunderlord Stronghold (Blade’s Edge Mountains) for Horde players.

Training the Alchemy Profession from 375-450

At this point you will need to stop by a trainer, and pick up your new recipes.

Trainers
Lanolis Dewdrop - Alliance (Grand Master Alchemist Trainer). Located at Valgarde in Howling Fjord.
Linzy Blackbolt (Grand Master Alchemist Trainer). Located at Dalaran.
Wilhelmina Renel (Grand Master Alchemist Trainer). Located at Vengence Landing in Howling Fjord.

Alchemy Skill 375-385
Pygmy Oil (1 x Pygmy Sucker Fish) x 10

Alchemy Skill 385-405
Crazy Alchemist’s Potion x 20

Alchemy Skill 405-420
Indestructible Potion x 15

Alchemy Skill 420-430
Elixir of Armor Piercing x 10
This goes grey at 430, so you will probably need to make more than 10. Keep making them until you get to 430.

Alchemy Skill 430-440
Transmute: Earthsiege Diamond x 10

If there is a cooldown on this, it is unknown at this time.
Alchemy Skill 440-450
Transmute: Eternal Might x 10
Cooldown on this is 20 hours, so you are basically looking at 1 point per day.
