Change your character name!

Posted by Kaets - November 26th, 2007

Blizzard are happy to announce that through the wonders of modern gnomish engineering, you are now able to change the names of your characters! Finally, you can turn the name that seemed like a good idea at the time into something more befitting your true status in World of Warcraft.

Visit Account Management to begin the character-name-change process. The fee is 8,00? (£6.00) per name change. For the complete explanation on this new improvement to World of Warcraft, check out their guide here.

We at wow-guides.co.uk have been wondering for over a year how long it would take Blizzard to copy this feature from Ultima Online. The odd thing is that it only makes account/character selling all the more appealing to most people. On the other hand, they can screen people who ask for a name change and catch them more easily as they are most likely to make use of this ;)

Love the name change feature. However another downside i see is that people who are renowned for being ninjas or “bad people” will just change their name and no-one will know any different :???:
