Karazhan - The Curator

Posted by Kaets - August 29th, 2007

The CuratorThe Curator is an Arcane Guardian boss in the Menagerie in Karazhan. It is not optional, groups which want to reach the bosses behind it must first defeat the Curator. The encounter is not difficult to learn, but requires good gear. A raid capable to defeat this boss is in principle equipped well enough to defeat all the following bosses, save perhaps Nightbane.

Karazhan - Shade of Aran

Posted by Kaets - August 29th, 2007

Shade of AranThe Shade of Aran is a boss in the abandoned tower of Karazhan. He is the spirit of Nielas Aran, the father of Medivh - the previous occupant of Karazhan. He is located in the Guardian’s Library. After Aran’s dead a teleport to his room becomes available from Berthold the Doorman, and all trash mobs from the Curator to Aran (excluding one pack outside Illhoof’s door), will cease to respawn. The packs above his library are linked to Netherspite.

Karazhan - Terestian Illhoof

Posted by Kaets - August 29th, 2007

Terestian IllhoofTerestian Illhoof, along with his minion Kil’rek, is an optional boss in the library section of Karazhan. Both have a low-aggro range - you can sneak around the side at the start, and resurrect everyone in the room with no difficulty. The focus is Illhoof and he should be the major focus of damage unless Demon Chains are up. When someone is being sacrificed killing the Demon Chains becomes the most important priority of the encounter. Keep the non elite imps under control and this fight will be over in no time.

Karazhan - Prince Malchezaar

Posted by Kaets - August 29th, 2007

Prince MalchezaarAfter the Chess event, at the very top of Karazhan, your raid will encounter Prince Malchezaar. Very little is known about him except that he is a Man’ari Eredar and a member of the Burning Legion. It is unknown what his purpose is and how, or when he arrived. Due to this location, he is considered by many to be the tower’s final boss. However, some used to consider the creature Nightbane to be the true final boss of Karazhan, due to his superior difficulty in the early days of the dungeon’s release. Their comparative difficulty is now disputed.

Karazhan - Netherspite

Posted by Kaets - August 28th, 2007

After your raid has killed Aran and enabled the teleport to Aran’s room, you have several choices open to you. One of these is Netherspite, one of Karazhan’s optional bosses at the Celestial Watch. We highly recommend you fight Netherspite and get him on farm status as soon as possible as he has some great gear that any raid could seriously benefit from.

WotLK Details in Interview at Leipzig

Posted by Kaets - August 23rd, 2007

Buffed.de interviewed Jeff “Tigole” Kaplan at the Games Convention in Leipzig, and here are the most interesting facts:

- There will be a new Caverns of Time instance: Stratholme, which one will be a level 80 instance 5-man.

- Death Knight requirements: According to Tigole, you won’t need to be level 80 to unlock the Death Knight, it would rather be between level 55 and 60. Players can then create their Death Knights and have to go through a trial in order to be able to play their Death Knights.

Karazhan - Nightbane

Posted by Kaets - August 22nd, 2007

Nightbane is a summonable boss in Karazhan. He is a fiery skeletal dragon, transformed by Medivh from Arcanagos and formerly of the Blue Dragonflight. While not the ruler of Karazhan, a position apparently held by Prince Malchezaar, many consider Nightbane to be the true final boss of the tower, due to his superior difficulty in the early days of the dungeon’s release. Their comparative difficulty is now in dispute.

A brief summary of all classes

Posted by Kaets - August 21st, 2007

World of Warcraft Classes
A class is the primary adventuring style of a player character which determines the type of weapons and armor it can use, as well as what abilities, powers, skills, and spells it will gain throughout its adventures.

Be aware, choosing a class is constrained by the choice of race. As a character progresses, they can specialize their skills by assigning class talent points in one of three trees available for each class.
